Vintage Yanagisawa A880 Alto Saxophone Made in Japan

This Yanagisawa A880 Alto Saxophone is dated around 1990 based on it’s serial – 00173XXX. Comes with an original Yanagisawa Alto Saxophone Mouthpiece. Also has the original underslung saxophone neck. Does not include the original case – the case was changed to a contoured zipper case which fits the saxophone very well.

The saxophone is in overall very good to excellent condition, considering it’s age, and it plays very well as is. Lacquer does show some signs of wear and pitting, but nothing showing it has ever had major damage or repairs. See pics for details.

Yanagisawa A880 Also Saxophones are made in Japan, as are all Yanagisawas. They are crafted very well. This model is highly sought after because they have a much warmer tone than modern Yanagisawas. Would be a very good first professional alto saxophone for a high school or college player, or even as a primary player for an active professional player.

The Yanagisawa A880 Alto Saxophone is built to last and are typically an exceptional value when compared to the new models. Personally, I like the larger than normal circle bell to body brace, as well as the Yanagisawa crest logo on the front of the bell.
