1955 Buescher 400 S1 Top Hat & Cane Alto Saxophone 358XXX
Overall, this saxophone is in excellent condition. It stayed in one family since it was originally purchased in 1956. This one still has most, if not all, of the gold plated Norton springs. The rollers are still intact, original and working. The pads all look to be the original snap in reso pads. There are some surface scratches but the finish looks excellent, original. Has the original case. Underslung neck is perfect condition. The sax plays very good as is but we always recommend it be brought in to a tech to be checked out and adjusted prior to gigging – super responsive especially in the middle to upper octaves.
