Buffet Crampon Super Dynaction Alto Saxophone — Serial 17672

Overview
This is a superb vintage alto saxophone from Buffet Crampon — one of the most respected names in classical and jazz woodwinds. The Super Dynaction (SDA) line, introduced in the late 1950s, was Buffet’s flagship professional saxophone series — beloved for its rich tone, powerful projection, and ergonomic keywork. Based on serial-number charts used by Buffet saxophone experts — which show Super Dynaction altos with serial numbers from roughly 4817 to ~22686 were built between 1957 and 1975 — the serial 17672 places this horn near the later end of that production range.
